Getting Started
The decision to enter therapy can be an exciting and challenging one. It is important to feel like there is a good fit between you and your therapist, since the relationship can be one of the most powerful venues for healing and self understanding. For this reason, I offer a free brief initial consultation by phone and encourage you to ask questions about the way I work and to let me know what it is that you are hoping to gain from beginning therapy. You may also choose to speak with and/or meet several therapists before deciding to work with someone.
Appointments can generally be scheduled within three days of calling. I offer morning, afternoon, and evening appointments to meet the needs of those with busy schedules. Appointments are generally 50 minutes in length. Please arrive 10 minutes early to your first appointment to complete some initial paperwork. This can also be emailed to you prior to your appointment if that is more convenient. If you plan on using your insurance for this service, please mention this at the time of scheduling you appointment. Some individuals choose not to use insurance for therapy for privacy reasons or because I am not an in-network provider.
